Brilliant staff who made careful repairs. An old laptop needed new hinge fixings and the owner tried very hard to find the parts necessary. I was called and given a quote before any work was undertaken so I could approve the work if I wanted it to go ahead. The Repair Process

1. Bring Your Device
After submitting your repair request, we will contact you with some questions and further instructions. If you are local, you will need to bring your device to our shop. If not, you will need to ship it to us.

2. Diagnostics
We will perform diagnostics, and contact you with a price for the repair. If you decline to continue with the repair at this stage, there will be a diagnostics fee.

3. The Repair
If we receive confirmation that we can proceed, we will repair your device and waive the diagnostics fee. You will only be charged for the repair.

4. Collect or Receive Your Device
After your device is repaired, we will contact you so you can collect your device. If you sent it to us, we will ship it back to you.
Rest easy - we will keep you updated throughout the repair process and all repairs come with warranty. Your device will be taken care of by professionally trained technicians to the highest standard. We use the latest diagnostic and repair equipment for your peace of mind.

Repair Services Q&A
What devices do you repair?
We repair laptops, desktop computers, desktop computer components (video cards, motherboards, etc.) and video game consoles.
We do not repair phones, tablets (Kindles, iPads, etc.), TVs, monitors, or industrial tools. If your device is not in this list, fill out the form above, contact us, or bring your device to our store for more information.
How much will my repair cost?
If you would like us to diagnose an issue, the cost is £30 for laptops and £40 for desktop computers. If you decide to go ahead with the repair after the issue has been diagnosed, we will waive the diagnostic charge and only charge you for the repair.
The cost of the repair will vary depending on the severity of the issue, and the specific components required to fix the issue.
You do not need to pay immediately. We will only charge you after the repair has been completed.
We will advise you if the repair would cost more than a new device. We have a part exchange scheme, so we can take in your faulty device for a discount on our refurbished laptops or desktop computers.
Under certain circumstances, we may be able to provide a quote without you bringing in your device (e.g. memory or storage upgrades).

I need my device for work or school. Do I have to leave it with you?
Depending on the issue, diagnostics can take a long time. We generally prefer you leave your device with us.
If your device is still usable despite an issue, like a cracked screen, and you can't leave it with us, you can pay half the repair cost upfront. You can take your device and return when the replacement part arrives.
If the issue is more complicated, we may need to keep your device for a few hours so that we can diagnose it. After we are done, we will contact you the same day so that you can come back to collect it.
When will my repair be completed?
Repair times will vary depending on whether we have the part that is required in stock. Generally, screen and battery replacements are quicker, while motherboard repairs take longer.
If we have the required part in stock, we can generally fix your device the same day.
Repair times may be longer because:
- You are shipping your device to us.
- We do not have the required component and need to wait for it to arrive.
- You bring in your device near the end of the week.

Who will repair my computer?
Your computer will be repaired by Kybernet's professional technicians who have over 13 years of experience. We use the latest repair equipment, so you can rest easy knowing you are in good hands.
Will my data stay secure?
Depending on the issue, we may need your computer's login password. We ask for your login because we need to perform extensive testing to make sure the repair is of high quality and will last.
Kybernet is also registered with the Information Commissioner's Office for the Data Protection Registration Certificate, so your data stays secure. You can read more about us on our About page.
In certain situations, we may need to re-install the operating system. Before we do so, we will always contact you beforehand to make sure there is no important data on the computer, and if there is, we will transfer it. For quickest turnaround, we recommend backing up your files before you put in a repair request or bring it to our store.
